Dedicated to promoting humane care of animals through education and a humane, pro-active animal services program. Committed to preventing the suffering of animals and to ending pet overpopulation

Afv operated a low cost spay neuter and vaccination clinic out of the former animal shelter. This clinic has elminated the need for the travel to local low cost spay/neuter veterinarians other than for high risk surgeries. The clinic was open 4 days a week. In july, the offsite clinic was closed in august. Afv built a new spay/neuter clinic next door to the shelter and opened it at the beginning of march 2024. Spay/neuter surgeries were provided to 1,143 dog/cats/other, 8,475 vaccinations were provided and 738 microchips were administered.

Expenses: $570K

Afv provided funds for the publics medical treatments for individuals that qualified based on income and/or age. Four grants were received and $16,875 was provided for treatments. Afv set up a similiar fund from a contribution that was received and funding in the amount of $11,253 had been spent during the fiscal year. Funds in the amount of $1,299 were provided for medical procedures thru a previous grant.
