Mission

The mission of the Animal Orphanage is to care for and adopt out the stray or abandoned animals in our local communities. It is a no kill shelter that utilizes rigorous spay/neuter activites to reduce the number of lost and abandoned animals. Every effort is made to reunite and adopt out animals.

Medical expenses make up over 30% of total expenses for the Animal Orphanage. Intake for all animals includes treatment for fleas and intestinal parasites,initial vet exams with rabies and distemper vaccines and boosters, as well as spay/neuter, micro- chipping, treatment and testing for Lymes and treatment for ear mites. This expense is allocated against the total revenue for the Orphanage.

Expenses: $61K

The third largest single expense for the Orphanage is the cost of running the Orphanage. These costs include food for animals, utilities, repairs and maintenance, and general office costs.
