Animas Valley Ditch & Water Company

The animas valley ditch & water company (avd&wc) is incorporated in the state of colorado and exists to deliver irrigation water from the animas river to the shareholders of the company. The physical ditch is on the east side of the animas valley and is approximately 12 miles in length and is adjudicated to carry up to 55 cubic feet per second of water by the state water resources. This is the only past, present and future activity of this organization. Water delivery occurs from may through october. Maintenance of the ditch (repairs and cleaning to assure water delivery) occurs october through may.
