Food distribution/community garden - annam community center is a trusted partner of the houston food bank, the largest food distribution network in the united states. With the support of dedicated volunteers, the center successfully sustained and expanded its food and essential goods distribution program, providing over 2.4 million pounds of food to individuals and families in need throughout 2024. Recognizing the importance of fresh, locally sourced produce, the center also operates a community garden, which not only provides nutritious food but fosters education, cooperation, and sustainability. In 2024, the garden produced 30,000 pounds of fresh vegetables and fruits, which were used in the center's nutritional programs and shared with the community.
Community healthcare - the annam community center remained committed to promoting health and wellness by offering basic healthcare services to all community members, regardless of insurance status. Services provided included blood tests, immunizations, flu shots, and mammograms, ensuring greater access to preventive care for vulnerable populations.
