Mission
The Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, Inc. (AMFM) provides support to qualifying Annapolis-area based musical arts education programs and provides temporary financial relief on an as-needed basis to professional Annapolis-area musicians. The financial relief is intended to ensure that a loss of work by a qualifying musician will not result in financial collapse. That safety net provides rare security for musicians, creating an opportunity for them to pursue musical artistry with a greater degree of assurance and equanimity, benefiting the Annapolis musical arts community at large by benefiting the musicians themselves. AMFM also created a Catastrophic Fund, which provides financial assistance to Annapolis-area musicians who have suffered or are dealing with a catastrophic loss or injury that prevents them from applying their craft in the long term. Additionally, AMFM provides a summer grant on a yearly basis to nonprofit programs that further childrens musical education, targetin
