Apano's community health program continued its family wellness initiative, offering weekly in-language physical activities and monthly family gatherings that fostered connection, resource sharing, and peer learning. With support from ohsu occyshn, we engaged vietnamese families of children with special health needs to better understand their challenges and improve access to care. Additionally, we partnered with the portland bureau of emergency management pbem to host emergency preparedness workshops and, through the pcef-funded cooling portland program, installed over 400 portable cooling units to support residents facing extreme heat.

Expenses: $338KGrants: $70K

Having acquired the historic canton grill restaurant in portland's jade district, apano staff led community engagement activities to involve residents in preserving this cultural landmark, incorporating generational history, as well as their hopes and dreams for the site's future.
