Mission
Aoa is a land conservancy dedicated to protecting open space, natural areas and farmlands in central and southeastern ohio. Aoa works with property owners to establish conservations easements, and/or acquire fee lands with grant funds.
Programs
2 programs
Education: 1.aoa offered 22 field trips/activities to show case areas preserved by aoa and provided email announcements to publicize these field trips. These events are free and open to the public. Approximately 715 persons were able to enjoy these outdoor events, both on land and water. In addition, the organization conducted over half a dozen invasive removal work days whereby volunteers learned how important it is to control destructive, non-native plants, in addition to working to control the hemlock woolly adelgid. 2.aoa's executive director attended the land trust alliance's national land trust conference in september 2024. 3.aoa staff participated in both regular statewide affiliated colt meetings and land trust alliance zoom training meetings.
