Access to primary care: other programs, such as access to primary care, are offered to assist in the treatment of substance use and mental health disorders, with an emphasis on traditionally underserved populations. The foundation offers treatment programs for adults that address the full range of substance abuse including opiates, cocaine, alcohol and multiple addictions.
Addiction research: the apt foundation, working in collaboration with the connecticut mental health center and the yale school of medicine, has earned a reputation for excellence in addiction research as well as treatment. Through research programs supported by state and national agencies, such as the national institute on drug abuse (nida), the apt foundation is at the forefront of addiction recovery by designing treatment programs based on research outcomes.
