Provide services for individuals with developmental disabilities

Programs

2 programs

Adult activity center/adult contract services: the arc's adult activity center day habilitation programs offer community-based educational, vocational, adaptive daily skills training, and support to adults with intellectual disabilities. Specific training areas include physical, occupational, nutritional, speech, and counseling. The arc served approximately 200 adults in programs. In addition, the arc has several ongoing contracts with mitchell plastics, polaris, and toyota, which provide opportunities for individuals to earn money as they learn skills necessary to prepare them for employment in the community. With the covid outbreak, the arc began to offer up to 6 hours of virtual classes every day. In may and june, the arc started back with in person employment with safety guidelines. Another center was added in athens, the birdie thornton center. The arc also repurposed one of the day facility buildings into another arm of the itp (infant toddler program) - the outpatient pediatric center which is able to see school aged children.

Expenses: $4.7M

The arc also provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have significant developmental delays or mental or physical conditions that have high probability of developmental delays. This program provided services to over 300 children and their families each month.
