Mission
The Arc of West Central Colorado promotes and protects the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We actively support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. Through collaborative efforts, we will create a network of families and professionals who will inspire, educate and empower parents through their journey to become a CHAMPION for their children. The purpose of The Arc is to provide leadership in addressing the choices and needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families while safeguarding the rights of these individuals, facilitating choices, and promoting independence and inclusion in community life.

ARCWCCO provides general administrative community and agency outreach and education to the interested public, government agencies, families and clients.ARCWCCO attended, held, sponsored or contributed to over 21 community partnership events. We also scheduled collaborations, stakeholder meetings in regards to education, training and outreach. These events happened in multiple counties within the state of Colorado and other states. The ARCWCCO also attended over 5 state and national trainings for staff, advocates and board members.
