To advocate for the protection and preservation of historically and culturally significant assets

Community education programs - walking and bus tours of downtown fort wayne and historically significant neighborhoods; self-guided heritage trail; winter lecture series; new lunch at arch program for members to meet and talk with historic preservation leaders and experts; custom tours for classroom and other groups; annual historic home tour of a historic neighborhood, and promote historic preservation opportunities in communities that are served. These programs served approximately 1,295 people, not including those who used the self-guided heritage trail.
Advocacy programs promote the value to property owners and the community of preserving historic places and finding new uses for them.
Documentation & research programs serve property owners and organizations who need professional analysis of their heritage properties for national register nominations, historic tax credit applications and other purposes.
