Sheltered care program: arden wood's sheltered care program provides light assistance in a supportive environment for guests who rely solely on christian science for healing. Sheltered care includes light assistance with personal care, bathing and mobility, gentle reminders and guidance as well as help for individuals with vision challenges. Skilled christian science nurses provide 24-hour care and oversight.
Independent residential living program: arden wood offers a home to seasoned christian scientists. Independence and individuality are respected in an environment conducive to inspiration and healing. Residents enjoy the benefits of a caring, professional staff, and live in lovely studio apartments or two-room suites on quiet wooded grounds in a major metropolitan area with nearby amenities and public transportation. A dynamic activities program brings adventure and a natural balance into the daily experience of our residents.
Christian science nurse training program: since our founding in 1930, arden wood has actively trained christian science nurses for our facility as well as other christian science facilities and for those serving as private duty cs nurses. Arden wood instructs its trainees in the christian science nursing arts-an entensive, three-year, four-part course curriculum of the highest quality-in partnership with the chestnut hill benevolent association which includes thorough classroom instruction (one course taught at arden wood) and on-the-job mentoring. On both campuses training provides in-depth study of the principles, ethics and practical skills nescessary to ensure excellent professional christian science nursing care. Trainees are salaried and receive full employment benefits.
Rest & study: arden wood offers an ideal environment for spiritual refreshment, inspiration and healing for students of christian science. Private guest rooms with modern amenities are available for overnight stays. Delicious meals are available for purchase in our dining room. Bible research library is available 24/7.
