Riley has completed her 15th surgery and at the age of 13 has had a complete hip replacement and is on the road to mending and living a normal teenage life until she has another growth spurt and will outgrow the current hip replacement and will require another.
Baby boy Judah, who while his mom was still pregnant was diagnosed at her 20-week anatomy scan with Gastroschisis. This means his intestines grew on the outside of his body. Due to this diagnosis when he was born, he went straight to surgery and NICU time. According to their surgeon, he could be in the NICU for 3-4 weeks, or if there are any other complications it could be longer. Baby Judah made his arrival and survived the surgery and undergoes routine checkups to make sure that his body grows normally and he has no digestive issues.
