Aah presents 10 exhibitions in the the main gallery annually: 2 membership shows, a juried exhibition, and 7 invitational exhibitions. Additionally, aah presents 64 rotating exhibitions in 15 community businesses and institutions.

The art association mansion houses three classroom/studios, five exhibition galleries, and a small gallery to provide space for artists to market their works. The galleries are open to the public 7 days per week, with no admission charge. Gallery hours are: 9:30 am to 9 pm monday through thursday, 9:30 am to 4 pm friday, 10 am to 4 pm saturday, and 2 to 5 pm sunday. The association provides free career counseling to artists, and strives to promote all artists' works to the public. Aah founded harrisburg gallery walk 37 years ago and organizes it annually as a free walking/driving tour of harrisburg exhibition sites. For 2024, 17 venues participated. The art association maintains a permanent collection of works donated by artists and collectors over the course of the organization's existence, which is periodically exhibited to the public.
