Mission

Preserve the history and archives of the artillery officer candidate school & hall of fame. Contribute to a local endowed scholarship for rotc cadets. Conduct perodic gatherings of graduates as feasible.

History and legacy: preservation of the history and legacy of ocs continued in fy 2023, with the construction of display cases for artifacts and history panels in the hertage hall annex to the field artillery museum. All history and legacy activities were performed by volunteer graduates and friends of the artillery officer candidate school. No salaries or paid employees. Costs related to legacy preservation and storage of artifacts are funded by cash reserves and donations from alumni and friends.

Expenses: $12K

Scholarships: the ocs alumni chapter contributed $3,300 to the cameron university foundation for the artillery ocs endowed scholarship in leadership which the chapter established in fy 2020. The funds are intended to be used for the benefit of rotc cadets enrolled at the university who are seeking a commission in the us army. The board of directors plan to contribute at least $4,000 to the fund on a yearly basis, with additional funds added if feasable.
