Programs
1 program
Audience development and services as part of our strategic refocusing on arts future we convened a series of community conversations to gather input and feedback from various stakeholders. These conversations aimed to help art in its strategic planning and programming decisions, as well as to strengthen its relationships with the community. The purpose of these conversations was to have honest, frank, and constructive discussions with a wide range of people; to gather feedback on arts work and to discuss arts future; to determine what kind of theatre is needed now; to explore how theatre builds community and what kind of work will bring people back to the theatre; to cultivate a sense of ownership and excitement about arts future; and to improve the theatre-going experience. The feedback shaped programming choices for the current season; helped art rebuild the company and create a strong sense of ownership and excitement about its future; led to implementing more points of connection such as open rehearsals and small social events; adjusting audience services to be friction-free; and infusing art's space with a spirit of joyful hospitality.
