Communication - artsfairfax provides informational services (web, newsletter, resource info, and events listings) to the arts community, and promotes the arts and all arts activities in fairfax to the general public. The organization also conducts surveys and gathers data to help the arts and citizens advocate for support of the arts at the local, state and federal levels.

Service programs - artsfairfax provides capacity building programs to the arts community such as educational workshops. The organization also provides arts services, such as staffing and coordination of county-wide master arts planning for arts facility infrastructure and public art.
