Mission
Arts Education Connection San Diego transforms learning by bringing the joy and richness of the arts to schools and communities.
Programs
2 programs
Artist in Residence programs are 8 to 32 week partnerships with local schools. Teaching Artists instruct students in weekly lessons that are focused on discrete art or arts integration. Students learn a variety of art concepts, vocabulary, and techniques, while also cultivating imagination, critical thinking and other crucial life skills needed to succeed in todays world.
Other programs include workshops, performances, teaching artist training, professional learning for classroom teachers, family arts nights, and programs for military-connected youth. We also participate in advocacy events that demonstrate the value of arts education for all.
