Asheville GreenWorks inspires, equips, and mobilizes communities to create an equitable, climate-resilient future.

Programs

Installed, maintained, and expanded 2 tree nurseries to raise up to 4,000 trees to be used for tree giveaways and tree plantings on public property. Gave away more than 1,200 native trees to Buncombe County residents and planted 125 trees on public lands. Engaged 367 volunteers for a total of 796 hours in urban forestry projects.

Eight young people complete the GreenWorks Youth Enveronmental Leadership Program - a six-week paid internship for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
