Ashlar Society

As described in article iii of the bylaws, the corporation will aid, benefit and help the ashlar lodge museum, which shall preserve the building and related history of ashlar lodge in lykens, pennsylvania. Thus, all activities shall have the underlying goals of preserving architecture and history of significance both locally and beyond for charitable, literary, informational, educational, cultural and/or historical purposes. It is anticipated that this will be furthered by carrying out projects or preservation and restoration, acceptance of gifts, donations of time, money and/or materials and to engage in any other activities for the benefit and general improvement of the museum. Specifically, the activities will include ownership and upkeep of the building, supporting relevant scholarship and educational programs, delivery of presentations and seminars and other programs to promote further understanding and scholarship about an important segment of local history.
