Our mission is to disrupt gender-based violence, which causes physical, sexual, emotional, spiritual, and economic harm within AAPI communities throughout the U.S. and its territories.

The Interpretation Technical Assistance & Resource Center (ITARC) works to improve systems responses to LEP victims by providing technical assistance and training on the development and implementation of language access policies and procedures. Technical assistance and training includes, but is not limited to: language and interpreter skill assessment; interpretation and translation procedures; interpreting for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence, and trafficking ; and building pools of qualified trauma informed interpreters through workshops on interpretation ethics and skills building.Language access training provided to multiple state agencies, including the Kansas, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, New Mexico, Guam domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions; and Utah, Michigan, Hawai'i, Washington, New Mexico state VOCA administrators. Provided training for multiple law enforcement agencies, including Shelby County Sheriff, Memphis PD, and Portland Police Bureau. Facilitated the Healing Across Language training, a 40 hour trauma informed interpreter training curriculum.
