Our chapter exists for the exclusive purpose of advancing in our geographical region, scientific, engineering, technical and practical knowledge, particularly with respect to the manufacture, treatment, selection and use of engineering materials. This is done through education, research, and the compliation and dissemination of information useful to indvidual members and prospective mebmers of the society and is beneficial to the general public.
