To promote and publicize the sale and use of asphalt roofing products, to collect and disseminate information regarding production, distribution and use of asphalt roofing products, to assist in the development of codes and standards for asphalt roofing products, to develop, through research, new uses and markets for asphalt roofing products, and in general, engage in any legal and proper activities that will be of benefit to the asphalt roofing industry and to users.
