Primary programs - own your life and teachers for the visually impaired (tvi). The own your life program focuses on two key areas: employee development and personal enrichment. Employee development is designed to help our clients looking to reenter the workforce. It includes training in computers, technology, orientation & mobility, and daily skills such as setting job goals and conflict resolution. Personal enrichment includes training in daily living skills, assistive technology, computer, and other tutoring and therapy. Tvi includes teaching staff certified in early childhood education, reading, visual impairments, orientation & mobility (o&m), special education and rehabilitation. Our instructors teach students with visual disabilities in the students' school districts and local communities. Tvi's o&m specialists train individuals to travel safely & confidently in the community. Braile transcribers convert printed text to braille for schools, businesses and community events.
