Mission
The association of administrators of the interstate compact on adoption and medical assistance is a nonprofit corporation comprised of member states. The association provides a framework for interstate coordination to remove barriers to the interstate adoption of children
Programs

State staff training and development:aaicama staff/consultants develop and provide regular training to state icama staff to increase their knowledge and effectiveness in interstate practice; and enhance administrators understanding and application of adoption and medicaid law in interstate cases. In addition, aaicama staff conducts on-site training for icama professionals at it annual conferences.
Technical assistance for state and local interstate staff: aaicama staff provides guidance on a broad range of adoption and medicaid-related issues to public agency staff, adoptive parents, guardians, and adoption organizations. Specifically, staff/consultants offer expertise and inforation on compact administration, title iv-e and state funded adoption assistance programs, the interstate transfer of adoption and medical assistance, and post-adoption services.
