To foster greater understanding of and appreciation for community college boards; to support boards in their efforts to develop public policies focusing on meeting community needs; to help build board governance leadership and advocacy capacity through in-service education

Board leadership services - acct provides members with planning, retreats and evaluations to acclimate community college trustees with their duties. Acct also assists member boards in the selection of college presidents and vice-presidents.

Acct is comprised of over 550 member boards and over 6,500 trustees who govern community, technical and junior colleges throughout the united states.
