International dyslexia association conference - the alds event at the ida conference includes three separate events, two for members and one for the general public. The first member event is an opportunity for members to visit a local member school with a tour, networking and q&a. The second is a networking dinner where members can engage in collegial conversations and group discussions. The open event is a half-day symposium where leaders in the research for ld students provide updates on research to practice activities. There are also facilitated roundtable discussions for school leaders to talk about listed topics of interest and share expertise and advice. More than 150 school leaders attended the 2024 conference.
