Programs

Complimenting its land conservation program, the conservancy began its ecosystem services program to enhance natural provisioning, regulating, cultural, and supporting ecosystem services derived from the wide diversity of ecosystems existing among the conservancy's preserved land holdings. This program seeks to further develop the interconnecting living and non- living components of the natural environment for the benefit of humans, such as those involving energy production, biological decomposition, and outdoor aesthetic recreation. During 2024, the conservancy conducted program planning, land acquisition, and facility rehabilitation to initiate this program involving 2.9 million of non-debt program capital investment.
The conservancy conducted its community conservation program by seeking out and responding by various means to needs expressed by people in the local community. This program aids in directly connecting the local populace to the conservancy, with the objective to bring awareness of the importance and relevance of its land conservation mission and broaden local support for land conservation in general.
