Mission
Augusta locally grown promotes a more robust local food system throughout the central savannah river area region. Our efforts include creating and managing farmers markets, cooking education, gardening education, new farmer workshops, healthy food access programs and the development of local food supply chains. All programs focus on sustainable agriculture as foundational to a more healthy and vibrant community.

Educational program: augusta locally grown conducted a wide variety of educational and healthy food access programs targeted at a wide audience, with extensive efforts made to make local produce more affordable and acceddible for all income levels. This included: (1) vegetable gardening education, (2) seasonal foods cooking classes, (3) youth gardening and cooking education, (4) fruit and vegetable prescription program, (5) farm tours and workshops, (6) local food workshops, (7) foodways events, (8) food access outcomes studies.
