Outdoor Productions: Austin Shakespeare returned with its first in-person production of Free Shakespeare in Zilker Park with a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Our first outdoor mainstage production since 2019 was very well-attended and a was a much needed return of free theater in our community. Young Shakespeare presented its 14th year with Love's Labor's Lost. Performed at The Curtain Theatre, Austin's replica of an Elizabethan theater, the production featured 18 teen performers in 7 public performances. This is a rare opportunity for students to rehearse and perform on the type of stage for which Shakespeare wrote his plays.

Staged Readings: Our staged reading of Rand's The Fountainhead was performed at the Objectivist Conference to a small, but enthusiastic audience. This marked our fourth appearance at OCon. Our staged reading of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie featured an all-African American cast and featured well-known actress Franchelle S. Dorn. Our staged reading of Agatha Christie's The Hollow was a small success, performed at KMFA Radio's Draylen Mason Studio.
