To develop ways to identify and help prevent the sale or transfer of counterfeit motor vehicle parts. To educate law enforcement agencies such as u.s. Customs and border protection, homeland security investigations, and various other federal, state and local enforcement agencies on the identification of counterfeit parts, and provide actionable information to support law enforecement efforts. To increase consumer awareness of safety and other concerns involving the use of counterfeit motor vehicle parts. To provide a forum for education and the dissemination of useful information among employees of motor vehicle manufacturers concerning the sale of counterfeit motor vehicle parts.
