To create a village within the City of Highland Park Michigan that will concert vacant blighted land into valuable urban resources to provide basic living components for a quality comfortable and prosperous life as well as provide basic services to the community.

The Healthy Births Program promotes maternal and infant health through holistic education wellness services and community-based support for expecting and new parents. It offers free or low-cost classes like prenatal yoga breastfeeding support infant safety CPR First-Aid certification and parenting courses for mothers and fathers. The program also addresses social determinants of health affecting birth outcomes. The Healing House at Avalon Village provides accessible resources wellness activities and free family supplies to low-income families enhancing maternal health reducing disparities and bolstering community well-being.
Builders Initiative: Avalon Village Inc. has received a grant from the Builders Initiative Foundation to support the construction of clean energy resilience hubs in Highland Park MI. This was an awarded grant and not an open builder initiative grant for avalon village that the public can apply for.
