Family support and education programs, including parenting education, early childhood education, services to fathers program, and parental engagement initiative. Family, relationship, and marriage education works (frameworks), a federally funded program, provides married, engaged couples, and singles access to relationship education services, so they can acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to form and sustain healthy connections for the well-being of the family. This program offers weekly interactive, educational, and fun workshops, with presentations on diverse topics designed to promote strong, healthy family formation and maintenance, responsible fatherhood and (cont. On sch. O) parenting, and economic stability

Family support and education programs:- parent-child education program (pcep) - this program fosters parenting knowledge and skills that directly impact children's development, while also empowering parents to achieve their own educational and professional goals. Pcep offers a two-generation approach that capitalizes on parents' strength and love to help them become the best teachers and stewards of their children's success.- services to fathers - this program is committed to enabling fathers to become involved and loving dads, enhancing family unity, increasing the father's role in their children's education, and improving interpersonal relationships among couples.- healthy marriage - the focus of this initiative is (cont. On sch. O) to help hispanic couples gain access to marriage education services so that they can acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to form and sustain a healthy marriage for the overall well-being of their children. This program is in response to the national hispanic healthy marriage initiative, and the couple's participation is entirely voluntary.- adult literacy - these programs involve a continuum of learning that enables individuals to achieve their goals, to develop their knowledge and potential, and to participate fully in society.

H.o.p.e.s (healthy outcomes through prevention & early support) is a joint effort by a coalition of north texas nonprofits aiming to create the best possible environment for children in dallas county to grow and thrive. How it works:avance-north texas takes a personalized approach to preventing child abuse and neglect. We meet families where they are, using individualized home visits and tailored support to educate families, help them establish family objectives and goals, and connect them to community services and resources best suited to meet their unique needs.

Avance to college (a2c) - a new model for the parent-child education program (pcep) was piloted to strengthen our two-generation approach and directly impact the economic mobility of our families. This newly developed model is a collaboration between us and austin community college (acc). It combines pcep with exposure to the possibilities and opportunities offered by postsecondary education and workforce development. The initiative aims to provide parents with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve their economic prospects while simultaneously supporting their children's educational growth, creating a comprehensive strategy for family advancement. We served 62 individuals during the 2023-2024 program year.

Child and adult care food program - provides daily breakfast, snack and lunch served family style to all children enrolled in our licensed childcare facilities. The menus are developed by a licensed dietician meeting all the food requirements of the texas department of agriculture for nutritious and healthy meals.

Other programs

The families building communities (fbc) program is designed to develop community leaders through personal and leadership development training that engages parents and caregivers and drives greater commitment to their own communities, instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment. While supporting adults to be leaders in their communities, it is important to ensure that their own families and children are given the tools to grow and engage with adults in as positive a manner as possible.the early childhood component of the fbc program uses a peep and the big wide world curriculum designed to cultivate a love for science and celebrate curiosity and the joy of discovery. Children are invited to explore and learn about their world through hands-on (cont. On sch. O) experiments and activities that are developmentally appropriate for three- and four-year-olds.
