Avenidas

Participant & health services: provides reception, registration, membership to older adults, and facilitates the provision of education, recreation, and social services. We had 10,348 registrations with 68,067 individual service encounters provided to 2,086 lifelong learning participants and 530 health and wellness participants and across the agency.

Avenidas village: provides social, supportive, practical, and other services to older adult members in support of maintaining their independence in their own homes. The village served 401 members during fy24. Village event attendance totaled 5,270 for the year, with a mix of in-person and zoom activities. While most activities and groups are in-person, we still offer a few zoom or hybrid programs to serve those members who are unable to leave their homes.

Additional programs including social work (826 clients), transportation including deliveries (2,593 services provided), chinese community center (545 registrations), tech plus (234 attendees), volunteer services (providing 9,610 service hours by 309 volunteers), and (226 special events) to lgbtq seniors were all provided this year. Services continued in fy24 with a mixture of remote, hybrid, and pre-registered in-person offerings to meet the needs of our participants.
