IMPACT KCK is changing the lives of Wyandotte Countys McKinney-Vento children youth and families by addressing homelessness through collaboration and compassion. The Impact KCK model is based on the collective impact model for community change, with AOL serving in the role of backbone agency. The Impact KCK model allows for a single days effort to be greatly multiplied through the collaboration of 90+ cross-sector service providers providing targeted wraparound care in a single space. This program serves families in all four Wyandotte County school districts. Services include housing, healthcare, case management,nutrition, mental health and substance abuse counseling. ID/Birth certificate, employment, vocational training, GED, ESL, various untility assistance. Childcare, legal aid, personal finance & budgeting classes, transportation, furniture trauma care, parenting classes, pastoral care and emergency relief.
Impact MO & KCPS Empowerment-Impact MO focuses on homelessness prevention services for at-risk children and empowers Kansas City charter school students and their families by connecting them to essential community services through monthly, transformative events in one convenient location. The KCPS Empowerment Program, in partnership with KC Public School District, is a three-year initiative transforming the lives of Mc-Kinney-Venmo students and their families in Kansas City, MO. Grounded in the collective impact model this program addresses the unique challenges faced by homeless students, providing critical resources and support to build brighter futures for the next generation.
