Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of babies, toddlers and parents in Western North Carolina through diaper distribution, community awareness and partnerships.
Programs
2 programs
Diapers were provided to community partners serving known clients and who were already regularly providing additional social services to support, stabilize and help lift families out of poverty; as well as to agencies serving walk-in clients facing acute crises, such as baby pantries, food pantries, and food markets, including some with mobile units or pop-up markets to expand into rural communities especially where transportation issues are a barrier for families.
Hurricane Helene devastated our region in Septemeber 2024. Immediately, Babies Need Bottoms provided front like diaper, hygiene supply and formula distribution. Increasing distributions by over 300% in the first month after the storm hit. In the months following, BNB served as a redistribution site for baby feeding and hygiene supplies and have expanded to distribute additional care items (socks, underwear, winter coats, baby food, baby equipment) to help meet more of the acute needs our community faces during this recovery process.
