Baptist Health Foundation Of Birmingham Inc

Provide assistance for charitable programs of the brookwood baptist health system to improve patient care and education of residents in central alabama. During the year the following funds were used to support programs within the brookwood baptist health system.$389,769 pastoral care - chaplain support, education and baby bibles $304,641 hospital support- training manikins, education room renovations and other$ 10,689 support of medical education$ 2,256 patient and employee support programs - health fairs, etc.$707,355 total

The baptist health foundation provides grants to nonprofit entities with similar missions and values for various healthcare needs. During the current year, the foundation awarded $435,000 to 42 different nonprofit entities. See schedule i for those entities receiving greater than $5,000 individually.

The baptist health foundation provides scholarships and programs for students who have either shown an interest in healthcare or are currently pursuing a degree in healthcare as well as provides funding for employees and community members to participate in mission trips with local churches or as part of medical missions with local physicians.$ 67,000 samford school of nursing scholarships (8 scholarships)$ 10,000 university of montevallo nursing scholarships (1 award)$ 15,017 medical mission trips$ 92,017 total
