Bench-bar conference. The organization organized and furnished staff support for a metropolitan area bench-bar conference designed to promote communication between the bench and the bar and to address current issues in connection with the administration of justice (approximately 140 registrants).

Pro bono legal services. The organization continued to collaborate with local organizations that provide specific legal services to the underserved in the central virginia area including central virginia legal aid society, the greater richmond bar foundation, virginia poverty law center and the carrico center for pro bono and public service at university of richmond school of law.

Publications. The organization published nine editions of its newsletter and maintained a web site with information of interest to the members. Social programs. Two luncheon meetings were held (198 registrants), along with spring and holiday cocktail parties which attracted a combined total of 385 registrants. Additional social programs included a member appreciation event and a variety of section socials. Miscellaneous. The organization had nine sections that provided additional educational and social opportunities for lawyers with specialized or common interests.
