Bard At The Gate Inc stimulates, promotes, teaches and develops interest in the dramatic arts; educates the general public in the dramatic arts; advances the general level of culture in the field of dramatic arts by the establishment and maintenance of a theater company, producing rehearsed and directed readings of plays, musicals, dramas, comedies, shows, and dramatic arts in all forms, to be filmed and exhibited virtually via the internet, for online viewers; brings all aspects of the dramatic arts to areas and centers not adequately served at the present time; and brings to the attention of the general public, and of amateur and professional producers of live theater, the following: 1 unproduced dramatic works of quality that have been overlooked, 2 produced dramatic works forgotten by history that deserve a wider audience, and 3, in particular, such dramatic works in both of the foregoing categories as have been authored by writers belonging to groups historically denied visibilty.
