To collect and secure for preservation records, documents, lineages, and historically significant data relative to the genesis and development of the principles of equity and law based on, and stemming from, that historic moment coincident with the ratification of magna charta in june 1215 by john, king of england, at runnymede meadow, near staines-upon-thames.
