The organization provides opportunities for theater professionals to nuture, develop and refine their craft. In addition, the organization provides educational and theatrical experiences for children, adolescents, and youth at risk.

Barrington stage offers educational programs to awaken the minds, imaginations, and creative power of children, teenagers, and young adults by providing opportunities for them to experience the joy of live theatre as performers, writers, technicians, and audience members. The educational programs consist of the playwright mentoring project, musical theatre conservatory, kidsact! & teensact!,devised theatre ensemble and student matinee/school residency programs.
