The College and Career Readiness program prepares underserved youth for prosperous futures beginning in third grade. The program takes place Monday-Friday at BLCI's headquarters and at four satellite sites in San Diego. At each site, the program format includes: -No-cost daily tutoring, offered in Spanish, Arabic and English; -Peer support groups to build students' self-confidence, resiliency, and interpersonal skills; -Academic workshops to enhance literacy in reading, writing, STEM, and culture; -College readiness activities to educate students on the enrollment process, scholarship opportunities, the importance of a high GPA and more; -And career exploration to introduce students as young as eight years old to future possibilities.
