Bay Aging

Bay transit provides public transportation for people of all ages. We provided more than 131,000 rides across our 12-county service area in fy 2024. Bay aging microtransit and our new freedom program also saw significant increases in ridership. Riders utilized bay transit to access employment, healthcare, shopping, and numerous other consumer services.

Bay aging senior apartments are hud subsidized, rent controlled properties for residents over the age of 62. These 10 apartment communities provide safe, affordable housing and enriched supports to 366 occupants across the service area. The housing choice voucher program allowed people of all ages access to safe, stable homes. Single family housing encompasses 4 major initiativeweatherization, indoor plumbing rehabilitation, emergency home repair, and community development block grants.
