Mission

The bay area mural program is an organization of local artists dedicated to facilitating and creating public art. Our vision is to turn bare, blighted walls into artistic gateways to the community's surrounding environment.

Programs

2 programs

Through our comprehensive training program, local artists learn not only the technical skills of mural-making but also the critical components of project management, community engagement, and collaboration. We equip our artists to work directly with property owners, business leaders, and residents, ensuring that each mural reflects the unique character and aspirations of the community. Our program serves as a launchpad for artists to establish their professional careers, providing them with a platform to build a strong portfolio and develop sustainable relationships within the art and civic sectors. Ultimately, our goal is to create lasting partnerships that lead to meaningful public art installations, enriching the aesthetic landscape of our communities while empowering artists.

Expenses: $3K

Bamp's training program is not just about creating beautiful art-it's about building capacity for artists to advocate for their vision, navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, and use their craft to create positive social change. We believe that public art is a powerful tool for storytelling, dialogue, and community pride, and through our initiatives, we aim to make the bay area a canvas that celebrates its rich cultural diversity and collective spirit.
