The purpose for which the corporation is formed is to operate exclusively for the promotion of social welfare within the meaning of section 501(c)(4) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as amended ("code"), or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, and in furtherance of the foregoing, the mission of the corporation shall be to promote access to high quality home and community based health care, as follows: through education, advocacy, research, and community service related to high quality home and community based health care, promote a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity.

Research, collect and compile data and other information relating to the need for, and impediments to, access to high-quality home- and community- based health care.

Formulate plans and proposals to address the need for, and impediments to, access to high quality home and community based health care.

Educate, and engage with, all levels of local, state, and federal governmental entities, regulatory agencies, community organizations, and the general public to promote access to high quality home and community based health care. Help create legislation, regulations, and policies that are supportive of access to high quality home and community based health care. Inform the members of the work of the corporation. Solicit the support of the members of the corporation and the support of the general public in disseminating the information gathered and promoting the positions advocated by the corporation on access to high quality home and community based health care. Serve as the sponsor (also known as a connected organization) of a separate segregated fund under the federal election campaign finance act of 1971, as amended, to be called the "bayada hearts for home care, inc. Political action committee" (the "committee") and registered under applicable law in one or more states, and engage in other permitted activities with regard to administration of the committee. Receive and administer assets exclusively for social welfare purposes and dispose of same in furtherance of the foregoing.
