Center for opportunity, rehabilitation, and employment (core) offers a variety of employment services that include:job placement: employment specialists work with 200 participants to complete a battery of assessments to define employment goals with a laser-like focus on job placement, either within bayaud social enterprises or with 100+ employer-partners. Employment specialists placed 100 adults in permanent jobs and provided one-on-one job retention support or address employer concerns for the first 90 days. Assessments of long-term job retention experience are used to evaluate program outcomes. Dayworks: the day works program is a supported work program designed to provide a low- to no-barrier work experience for people throughout the city who are experiencing homelessness, while also connecting participants to supportive services such as food, shelter, and other necessities. Dayworks is designed to allow participants to work and earn money, the staff work behind the scenes with participants to obtain healthcare, food, access housing resources and focusing on competitive employment in the community. In turn, the people experiencing homelessness in the community are working towards goals to become stable and hopefully housed in the community. The participants become the stewards of the community they are serving. There are currently dayworks programs operating in denver and jefferson county serving more than 600 participants annually. Mobile community services: bayaud's mobile laundry and shower services program is based on feedback from unhoused constituents, colorado's first mobile laundry. This service represents a core component of our outreach efforts. Bayaud collaborates with public libraries, schools, houses of worship, and other organizations across metro denver to station our shower and laundry trucks where people experiencing homelessness are likely to gather; reaching more than 1,000 adults and families annually. To reduce food insecurity, bayaud pantry supplies are now distributed from our laundry and shower trucks to low-income single adults and families.enterprising women giving circle provides scholarships for 15 women seeking to advance self-sufficiency through education, employment, or small business ownership.

Navigation services offer a variety of resources to 600 participants on their path to self-sufficiency via:public benefits acquisition: bayaud navigators assist participants with applications for public benefits, such as aid to needy disabled (and), temporary assistance to needy families (tanf) for 250 clients, including social security insurance/social security disability insurance (ssi/ssdi). Ssi/ssdi applicants were approved for benefits at rates that exceed the national average.housing & resource navigation: housing navigators assist 70 long-term at-risk residents living with mental, physical, or intellectual disabilities by helping them remain sheltered in permanent supportive housing. Resource navigators link constituents to external community resources for health care, housing, and other services.mental health counseling: licensed therapists provide mental health and substance use counseling and connect participants to long-term counseling services. Emergency/supplemental food and personal hygiene supplies are provided weekly to 100 households per month, which includes approximately 200 children and adults.
