Beacon of Hope is a Human Services Organization within the Healthy Opportunities Pilot Program. This program, funded through Medicaid reimbursement, aims to reduce health care expenses for vulnerable individuals by ensuring underlying basic needs, such as food and housing, are met. Through HOP, Beacon is able to offer qualifying families the opportunity to shop for weekly groceries using a points-based system. This program is housed in a second, satellite location, located about 2 miles away from Beacons main facility. Hunger Relief through Healthy Opportunities Programming: - Food assistance provided - 785 Healthy Food Boxes - Funds invested in healthy food boxes - $428,114 Beacon of Hope also owns and operates the only laundromat in Madison County.
