TO BUILD BACK CULTURAL ASSETS AND OUTREACH STRATEGIES TO ALLEVIATE THE HARDSHIP CAUSED BY COVID19. AOP WILL PRODUCE SIX, HALF-HOUR VIRTUAL PROGRAMS THAT WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS A BANK OF ASSETS TO SUPPORT OUR CULTURAL OUTREACH EFFORTS AND AS EXHIBITS IN OUR HISTORIC ENTERTAINMENT AND FASHION MUSEUM. THE NARRATED RECORDED EPISODES PROPOSED WILL OPEN A WINDOW TO AN ERA OF THEATRE THAT OUR TODAY'S POPULATION KNOWS LITTLE ABOUT AND DID NOT EXPERIENCE - VAUDEVILLE IN THE EARLY 1900S. THIS GLAMOROUS PERIOD OF TRAVELING ACTS FROLICKING ON STAGE TO LIVE MUSIC TAILORED TO THEIR SHOW HAS LARGELY VANISHED. THE TURNAGE VAUDEVILLE THEATRE IS ONE OF VERY FEW THAT STILL EXISTS TODAY AND IS LARGELY INTACT. THE FINAL PRODUCTS WILL CAPTURE THE HISTORY OF THE TIME AND INTERPRET THE SPACE WHERE THE CULTURAL PERFORMANCES OCCURRED BY GATHERING AND SHARING THE HISTORY, THE STORIES, PHOTO AND SOUND RECORDINGS AND MORE IN THIS PROJECT DESIGNED TO SEED THE FUTURE OF OUR THEATRE BY PRESERVING ITS PAST.
