Community Engagement:The Summit: Giving Rise to a Mindful Community 150 people served The 2024 Summit took place October 10-11 at Center for the Arts. Our impressive speaker roster of nationally recognized leaders in the mindfulness arena, academics, innovators, and community change-makers is a humbling demonstration that our mission to make mindfulness second nature here has attracted the attention of leading experts on community wellness and mental health. They came to meet the local leaders guiding our movement and to share the latest research, tools, and practical applications.Annual Digital Challenge: 400 people served A January online challenge with daily motivational emails, and recorded and live guided practices, were provided as an ongoing self-guided program. 4th Annual TRYathlon: Fitness for Body & Mind: 200 people served A fun, free, family-friendly and bilingual program including mindfulness practice, all-abilities yoga instruction, mountain hiking, and more. Digital outreach | social media engagement: 4,720+ people served Our online audience opened 347,492 emails, newsletters, and blog posts (of the more than 620,000 sent). More than 1,800 readers follow our social media accounts with nearly 200 instances of direct feedback on BJW digital content per month. Our most popular content, an automated mindfulness challenge, has been updated to allow readers to join it at any time and receive the prompts by text message, if they choose. Community practice on Zoom: 140 people served Free guided mindfulness practices conducted each Friday morning, with more than 7,500 collective minutes of practice logged.
