Programs

2 programs

Therapeutic foster care and adoption:beech acres has been standing behind those who stand up for kids in foster care for more than 40 years. We provide traditional and treatment foster care for temporary or emergency substitute family care for emotionally, sexually or physically abused children. We develop foster parents as mentors and pair them with families/dedicated adults with the goal of reunifying children with their families, or in their own community, and decreasing the length of stay in foster care. Children are served through foster care, reunification with biological family and adoption. Prospective foster parents are provided with training and support to become licensed foster parents.in addition to the service reimbursements, these programs are supported by government grants of $3,743,048.

Expenses: $4.1M

Other child welfare:beech acres parent enrichment program (pep) provides an evidence based curriculum using natural strength parenting and triple p content for parents in need of education and support with parenting. Natural strength parenting encourages you to be intentional and mindful in your parenting while focusing on your child's innate strengths. Building on their strengths will increase their confidence, self-esteem, and resilience all of which lead to positive well-being. Triple p (positive parenting program) is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent, as well as treat, behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. It aims to prevent problems in the family, school and community before they arise and to create family environments that encourage children to realize their potential.beech acres also provides kinship services support to allow a relative of a chld to care for a child who would otherwise need foster care. Being able to be cared for by a relative reduces traumatic experiences for your grandchild, niece, nephew or other relative or loved one. A dedicated relative is more likely to understand the child's circumstances and support them long-term through difficult times, which has a positive impact on thier mental and physical well-being. Children may experience improved mental health outcomes by preserving the child's natural setting within thier family of origin. Beech acres kinship team provides group like settings with a wide variety of topics, including those from positive parenting program (triple p), individual kinship support provided in the home and communtiy, and service navigation to assist kinship parents and families. Beech acres also offers a parenting time program (visitation) which aims to uncover the natural gifts of children by empowering parents and caregivers. It provides trauma-informed care and guidance to achieve desired outcomes. Beech acres provides parenting time sessions provides guidelines to help parents, family court judges and mediators to develop appropriate parenting plans and visitation schedules for children and assist parents with providing a stable environment that fosters physical and emotional well-being.in addition to the service reimbursements, these programs are supported by government grants of $700,938.

TO PROVIDE BRIDGE FUNDING AS THE "PARENT CONNEXT" PROGRAM TRANSITIONS TO A FEE-FOR-SERVICE MODEL TO SUPPORT THE SUSTAINABILITY OF SERVICES IN TRIHEALTH'S PEDIATRIC PRACTICES. CURRENT PAYMENT STRUCTURES DO NOT SUPPORT PREVENTION PROGRAMS, EVEN THOSE WITH POSITIVE OUTCOMES AND DEMONSTRATED EFFECTIVENESS. THE FEE-FOR SERVICE MODEL WILL KEEP SERVICES IN PLACE TO SUPPORT FAMILIES AND TRIHEALTH PEDIATRICIANS UNTIL A MORE ROBUST BRAIDED FUNDING APPROACH CAN BE CREATED.
